Mindy Ayers
History Instructor,
Neosho County Community College
Statement:  I have the best job in the world! I get to teach what I love to students EVERY DAY! I have lots of philosophies on education. But I think the most important one is that you should be passionate; passionate about your content, but even more passionate about the individuals sitting in your classroom every day. I also am a firm believer that learning and education occurs outside the classroom and that these lessons are the ones that stay with students for a lifetime. Through my class and my club I try to get students out of the class as much as possible! From Washington D.C, to the World War I museum in Kansas City, to the small but powerful Osa and Martin Johnson museum in Chanute, Ks., my students learn many lessons on many different topics and on many different levels.
