Carol Neil Professor, Nursing Florida State College at Jacksonville
In the classroom setting, students are broken into groups; then divided by objectives, which ultimately they would present their findings to the class. Students are encouraged to participate in interactive classroom activities while utilizing games and case studies as tools. In clinical settings unit nurses are informed that the students would perform various nursing procedures on the floor with their instructors at their sides. It is sheer delight, for me, to see the look on the faces of the students as they care for their patients with compassion. Teaching comes from within and making a difference matters the most.
